I am still in my first generation of isopods as a keeper and captive breeder, so my data continues to grow as I collect and keep the local armadilladium vulgare. My goal is to isolate and breed the unique local morphs I have discovered, which are as follows:
  • Georgia Wild Type - Light grey to black base color with little to no yellow marking
  • "Pollens" - high expression yellow against black / gray - wild type
  • "Pastel" - pale version of whatever base color / pattern morph
  • "Racing Stripe" - yellow or red dorsal line
  • "Jewel Tones" - Yellow, orange, or red base color with highly varied yellow patterning
  • "White Sided" - A ring of pale or white along the bottom of the tergites (overlapping back plates).
  • "Georgia Clays" - Red tint to both base color and pattern
  • "Neons" - Pastel + Jewel Tone
  • White Sided - Any base color & pattern with a ring of white at the lowest perimeter of the tergites.
  • Heterochromatic antennae - Appears to only manifest in White Sided individuals.
